Any reason that a theist can provide is a mere excuse. There is absolutely no good reason for having faith in a higher power.
I disagree. Faith is a personal decision. The only real reasons a person believes are personal to them. I am in no position to judge that those reasons are not important to that person. They might have great reasons, that I can't understand because I am not them.
