My wife is one of those. She's a Catholic, but I'm pretty sure she's never read the bible. I have a very lacking knowledge it, and I've had to point out a few things before that she didn't know what's actually in the book.

She's the nicest person you've ever met, though, and I'm pretty sure she'd be appalled at some of the more gory passages in the bible.
