Did you know that last year QS World university rankings had 31 of the top 100 and 6 of the top 10 including the number 1 university in the world in the US? No? How about that Times Higher Education, a UK based organization, listed US universities in 47 of the top 100 and 7 of the top 10 including the top 4? If those of you in advanced parts of the world are ashamed of what passes for a college education in the US perhaps you should try a little harder in school.
Perhaps you should consider that most Americans who attend college go to one of the thousands of other colleges instead of to the few dozen best ones. I did well in school, and the University of South Carolina provides a better quality education than many people assume.
Or perhaps you should consider that I was mocking the mocking of Texans and Southerners rather than seriously criticizing individuals for flaws the government of the place they live in might have. I should have put some sort of sarcasm symbol, I suppose. I live in advanced country of SC, myself.

Our universities are still the best of the best. Why do you think students from all over the world come to the US for advanced education?
No, our problem is not our colleges. Our problem is our public education system, which has been suffering over the last 15 years due to constant cutbacks because of Republican assholes who want to put more emphasis on religiously-backed private schools.
So you agree with everything else I said about America and Americans?
