Its not that im embaressed of being an atheist either, believe me most of my other family knows, theres just no point in ruining my holiday.
The most bloody annoying thing you can do is to be respectful and kind to her unkindness, or in other words, pull your best imitation of a Christ-like figure in terms of being gracious - then politely return it. Fundies always find this maddening - how can you be above their world view of black/white?
