The throat and air way passage is a good design, it supplies many needs in one design. The OP pointed to this system being poor because there's a .000001 percent chance of choking to death. The benefits of this system out weight this. Tonus said postnasal drip was part of a bad design also, well if it were not for this design the fluid would go directly to the lungs and we could drown from a bad cold. Tonus also suggested moving the windpipe higher in the mouth would be better, why, so when a child as they do, crams a mouth full of food in and starts to chew it would be forced into the windpipe. Also would you want nasal drip falling on the back of your tongue, how about breathing air into the mouth and drying the mouth out. Acid reflux would be a problem regardless of the windpipe, I to know about acid reflux I take something for it daily. Smell receptors in the mouth would be covered by saliva and they would not function properly and for small canals in the palate that would pose a problem when eating or drink, they could easily become clogged. Thanks Tonus, for the examples.
There is a chocking hazard, as small of a chance as there is to chock to death the hazard remains, I've never said otherwise, I only pointed out the benefits from the design. It's the rest of you that have taken issue with what I said to begin with, and then tried to say I did not know what I was talking about that's why I asked for examples that would be better. MS was the one who brought this up and he has yet to give anything other than criticism, it's his own proposal that the system was a bad design by God. Funny thing to say for someone who doesn't even believe in God. It like many other things was a way to criticize and ridicule God and the Christians on this site and only because I pointed out the benefits to the system did you all take issue with what was said, you all want to post to win, being here to learn is not your intention you've made that perfectly clear, you can dish out the criticism but you sure can't take it.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
