Are the Churches Incorrigible? Are They Any Better Today?

RE: Are the Churches Incorrigible? Are They Any Better Today?
No doctrinaire, dogmatic belief has been shown to survive without causing at the very least unpleasant conflicts.

Even though many religious leaders call for peace and collaboration between the different religions, some people will inevitably fall in extremism. It's not like everything but christianity is a virus for the West. I think it's more like every extremism is.

I am not talking only about religions, just look at what happened with doctrinaire marxism-leninism in the USSR or with McCarthy's paranoias in the USA.

As long as they accept that what they believe may not be true for some people, I am perfectly fine with churchgoers. The problem is, many of them aren't. So it must not be a matter of religion itself, but a matter of critic sense.
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."
