Quote:I think you're confusing Hitler's ideology with the one he sold the German public.Well, its the ideology of the NSDAP. I don't think that I really confuse anything. He might have had personal convictions, shortcomings and etc. But an ideology is something beyond personal belief and conviction.
His deeds might have been influenced by his personal convictions, but he wasn't a man of ideas. He simply found ways to incorporate them into politics, that's all.
Quote:When that "love" leads to the extermination of everyone different that you dislike, no.Well, if your hatred of someone else clouds your judgement, you should not be in a position to really lead masses.
Obviously, all nations have enemies, internal and external. But there are other ways to deal with them. Hitler had the Jews pacified in Ghettos. He could have kept it that way, and then later sent them off somewhere else, like it was custom for Europeans to deal with Jews before.
But he foolishly used manpower and funds to build concentration camps and etc. when he was at war with someone else. Really why? Simply, his vision was clouded from his past experiences with Jews.
He was a charismatic and idealistic leader. He could have led his people to greater heights, but he was too hot headed for that position in my opinion. A leader must have zeal and absolute conviction in his ideals to instill them into others, yes, but he must also be calculated and cool in the same time.
