This is the difference between Biblical christianity and the doctrines of christianity created by man. "The seven deadly sins" is a doctrine of man, that has it's roots grounded in a general observation of human behaivor, and not scripture.

The 7 Deadly Sins was concocted in the late 6th century by Gregory I who adapted it from the work of an earlier 4th century monk named Evagrius Ponticus.
