Being religious is a temporary state of being. I was once very religious, I no longer am. Non-believers become believers, and believers fall out of religion everyday. There are those that stay believers their entire lives or stay atheists their entire lives. But otherwise, permanent characteristics are unlikely to be associated with religion, IMHO.
