A plethera of things are insubstantial. Thought, will, reason, logic, intuition, consciousness, the holy spirit, God/gods, spirits, the square root of -1, imaginary numbers, etc. Insubstantial by my definition lies outside of the material real, yet within existance. You would prove such a thing exists with supporting evidence (albeit very subjective). And as far as a comparison, that's the problems with religion. They compare God to man and give him humanistic characteristics which go past a line of subjectivity for me.

I don't look for proof either usually, however when it pops up in my face I don't turn a blind eye to it either.

God can't help being a strawman because it's outside our realms of understanding of our known universe. It's a strawman to say I have the burden of proof when the definition of proof is subjective. God is an argument to the future , because we have yet to see his wonder. I can't even be an expert in my own opinion because God is an Argument From Authority. Trying to Reify God is pointless. God for me is common sense, but that too is a fallacy. Frankly, lots of what I've seen on here, from wordplay to quoting , to picking apart every definition of every word is a giant Argument By Selective Observation.
I see God's handiwork every day (whether I want to or not consciously[/b]) and that is my reality. I don't ask you to share in my reality or belief and am quite certain that you don't care to.
