I don't think we'd be very different at all. People would still be conservative or liberal, tolerant or assholes. The only thing missing would be people in churches (etc). Perhaps we could use them for the homeless? We'd notice it more here in the US than those lucky bastards in Europe. Just our luck we'd have whole farming outfits go awol.
I agree that it sounds like a win/win, but what if it were a lose/lose instead? Suppose God exists, He despises the bible for all the reasons we do, so when he raptures the planet, he takes most of us but none of the godly? We'd be forced to relocate, albeit to a good climate. On the upside all the good company would be there too. Theists on the other hand would probably be pretty bitter. Imagine passing up all opportunities for personal growth just to keep yourself humble enough to make the cut only to learn those smart-ass atheists were what the beardy guy in the sky wanted.
