To a point, you would be correct. If one is to follow the Old Testament abomination view, one should realize that the old Levitical Laws are not directed toward Christians so much as they are toward Jews. That is why Christians ignore Levitical Law regarding cutting one's hair, eating shrimp, and wearing poly-blended clothing. Yet in an ironic twist, they still use Leviticus to condemn homosexuality. If they cannot follow the Levitical Law that relates to them, then they have no business judging others who break other laws of Leviticus.
Let us not forget that Jesus never mentioned homosexuality.
The only time in the New Testament that homosexuality is supposedly mentioned is by the douche Paul. Christians are fond of misinterpreting the scripture in relation to homosexuality by erroneously asserting that the interpretation of a particular word effeminate must mean gay. Straight men can be effeminate just as gay men can be masculine. The effeminate view was just Paul's bigotry showing through. (I personally believe Paul was secretly gay and secretly enjoyed the gay buttsex too much)
Speaking of femininity, I just stumbled across this on Facebook:
What the feminine side of masculinity really looks like.
