I'd imagine that we might become extinct one day, much like Neanderthals did. Bleak destiny, I know, but reality wasn't nice to the dinosaurs either.
How did we get here? That's a good question. I personally got here because my parents had sex and then my mother gave birth to me. Pretty straight forward, but I'm glad you're taking the time to consider these things.
