Christians, why are you hear (If you want to convert atheists read this)

I am living proof that God exists, for so many reasons I can't count them. Everything that I, and my family, and Christian friends have asked for, we have receieved.

And NO...we don't ask to hit the Lottery. But, more important things in life. Because we know God, and how He works. And as loving children know their parents wishes, we abide by them, and respect them.

Me and my family have it pretty nicely.
- roof over our heads
- food on the table
- relatively free from disease, except the usual cough, cold, a bit of dentistry requirements, a case of dust allergy... little more.
- I can say that I have a good grasp on understanding how the world around me works. My wife is also educated and can accompany any explanation I provide... the kids... still need to grow up.... but they're on their way.

And yet, I'm atheist, I ask for nothing... I work for it, I try as hard as I can and I take advantage of the opportunities I get.
I'm betting you and your family have somewhat the same sort of good fortune, but you attribute it to god granting what you ask, while I see the world as it presents itself, no god included.... just people, animals, microbes, plants, rocks and sunlight... etc...

Then we have the other side of the coin....
My sister-in-law, catholic, married a guy who's uber-catholic. They go to church every Sunday, Thank their lord for every meal, pray before going to bed, bla bla bla, I'm sure they ask for the same things you do.
They have 5 children and almost all have some health problem:
1- Asthma + shortsightedness (at 8yo)
2- Burned with hot milk part of his neck and chest when he was 2~3.... scarred for life.
3- slight facial paralysis, one eye is slightly, but noticeably, closed at all times.
4- Had an infection at birth that never got quite healed. As a result it ate through some bones in one of his ear... is practically deaf from one side.
5- Still too young...

On top of that, their home was robbed 2 years ago, they lost a lot of valuable stuff; her husband has been put on a shitty position at work, in the hopes that he'll quit, so the company doesn't have to pay him any compensation for firing him.

So yeah... do tell me how asking gets you anything...
You just got the standard deal.
Some people get more, some get less, regardless of how much asking is done.
It's life!
