Like an aging mafia don, yhwh goes from creating the universe all by himself to drowning damn near everyone to smiting Egypt but then needs "joshua" to kill the Canaanites one-by-one to then needing the Assyrians to punish the Israelites, and the Babylonians to punish the Judahites and the Greeks and Romans and Arabs and British and so on and so on always punishing someone.
But he increasingly has to hire hit men to do his dirty work. Perhaps he has Alzheimer's? Maybe god needs viagra, too?
