No, my mom had an abortion way back after my father and her started dating, used a diaphragm during sex, and she ended up pregnant. My mother cannot take birth control pills. My father, I am guessing, has a problem with condoms (some men cannot stay hard, no matter what, with a condom). When their methods failed again with me, they kept me because it was much later in life, they were married and had a bit of cash, and thus here I am.
As for turning out quite well - I'm a college dropout with a mental disorder requiring anti-psychotics. Take that as you will.
