No, not at all. Atheism is simply the lack of belief in any gods. What part of that can these religious folk not understand? It is not a philosophy, that would be something separate. I could be an atheist and an existentialist, or an atheist and a nihilist, or any thing whatever. It's pretty simple. What gives?
