My wife's version of "House of the Rising Sun".





This is one of those songs that needs to be sung by a woman, as it's the swan song of a dying prostitute who was tragically pulled into that life. It also needs to be slower than "The Animals"'s version of it. I think she did a better job.

I think that's awesome. Maybe FX channel stole it ....
American Horror Story: Coven used a female version of this song for a promo. Complete with the line, "...many a poor girl"
