The people were scattered and the nation dissolved for around 1900 years, but was restored in the 1940's. Never has this happened with any nation, let lone one connected with a prophecy. But you're right we can't, only an omniscient God could.

Self-fulfilling after 2000 years, yeah right, that's just a stupid thing to even think. The Jews knew if Christ did no come before their nation was destroyed the first time (by Rome) He would not be coming, this is a prophecy they knew well. So why would they even care if their nation was restored knowing the prophecy failed? Why are they still awaiting the New Jerusalem? No Messiah no restored Israel. A self-fulling thought might be believable with only one or two people, with it occurring over a short period of time. A 2000 year old prophecy is a much different thing altogether.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
