Yet by any conceivable measure, our lives and the lives of most on the planet are improving. The world is becoming less violent, less homophobic, less racist, less mysogonistic, healthier, better educated, less ignorant. Because information flows more freely now, the concept of right/wrong is becoming more homogenised. It will surely take more time for things to even out and cultures to realign their morality, but I would argue the world is becoming more moral despite religion, not because of it.
