Yes, you are right to think that.
And I was informing you that wasn't the only thing that many Muslims accepted. There is one fact that made many Muslims crazy.
They believe in other religion books other than Qur'an. These books are called hadith in general. Believed to contain sayings of prophet Muhammad. The nonsenses come from Hadiths, not al Qur'an. But too often people equate the "sayings of prophet" a.k.a nonsenses to Islam. Which isn't true.
