Condemnation is for the unrepentant, the sinners who reject Christ, folks who spend their lives selfishly for their own lusts, greed, pleasure. But I don't hate the church. Hell I photographed quite a few in England and Europe. Very picturesque. The music can be nice. People seem to enjoy the comradery and some do a lot of good through charity. Nothing to hate there.

It is when the religious seek to enforce their moral choices on the general public through secular law that I chafe. If they think their religion gives them inspiration for a legislative improvement I would simply ask that they argue for it on secular grounds.

I certainly don't hate 'god' - whatever that may be. Far from it. When I was a believer I thought he was the greatest. Now - and this may be where my prideful intellect gets in my way - I don't even know what people mean by 'god' anymore. Really. It means lots of different things to lots of different people, but it is an empty signifier to me.
