But I don't hate the church. Hell I photographed quite a few in England and Europe. Very picturesque. The music can be nice. People seem to enjoy the comradery and some do a lot of good through charity. Nothing to hate there.
It is when the religious seek to enforce their moral choices on the general public through secular law that I chafe. If they think their religion gives them inspiration for a legislative improvement I would simply ask that they argue for it on secular grounds.
I certainly don't hate 'god' - whatever that may be. Far from it. When I was a believer I thought he was the greatest. Now - and this may be where my prideful intellect gets in my way - I don't even know what people mean by 'god' anymore. Really. It means lots of different things to lots of different people, but it is an empty signifier to me.
Believe what you will, we all do.
Au contraries. It's the Christians who are tired of the liberal religion of secularism leveraging their way on legislation that has us so frustrated and peeling away all ur freedoms.
You know when I answer multiple points for you and you simply grab one shiny bit to respond to because it helps launch you into a favorite whine .. well it isn't very satisfying to communicate with you. You can tell someone who is worth communicating with based on how well they listen to what you say. (You failed.)
Oh, and pro tip: don't copy the page of text you clearly didn't read just to post your one liner response. Bad form.
