I think there's got to be life out there. Immense, endless amounts of stars and planets. The chances that this is the only one inhabitable seems highly unlikely. If other planets are inhabitable, there's no reason they wouldn't sustain life, if they're as old as ours, or older. Skeptical about exactly what kind though. Super-quick space travel is so far beyond humanity right now it's going to be a long time before we'll find out.
