By definition atheism in and of itself HAS no purpose, no goals, no "end game" as atheism is NOT A "THING". It's the absence of a thing, that thing being the belief in gods.
This is NOT to say - as many theists do, either mistakenly or mischievously - that ATHEISTS have no purpose. We can have all SORTS of purposes, find all sorts of "meaning" in life and strive toward all manner of goals, but none of this is founded on or derived from "atheism" because atheism ISN'T A THING.
If what you mean is "why be atheist" then speaking only for myself : HONESTY. Intellectual and emotional honesty. There IS no evidence of the existence of gods and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
Does this help?
