Those writing are the foundation of which the religion(s) of Christianity were/are built. Each sect of Christianity is different (all 41,000) of them, so the interpretations within the denominations differ as far as belief goes but the scriptures are written in stone. Can't be much more plain than thatThen what you are saying is that the scriptures are, in places, demonstrably untrue. I'd agree with that. But to reiterate, the religion is an outgrowth of the scripture. It cannot be either true or false.
Well, if the religion is an outgrowth of the scriptures and the scriptures are logically inconsistent and demonstrably false, couldn't we say that the religion is false? Are we just playing with semantics? The bible is problematic from sentence 1, page 1. This fact begs esoteric interpretations. The bible is so logically incoherent that modern man is inclined to treat it as a riddle to be solved but the truth is its an amalgam of myths, stories, history, tribal traditions, and propaganda (against all of Israel's supposed enemies), All this would be fine if it wasn't taught as fact.
