To truly let the young decide, either teach all faiths to allow them to decide in which they want to believe or teach none.
Event that brainwashing is very much exaggerated , noone wear children chip that prevents them thinking . They will start to questions when they reached sufficient maturity , noone can wash the questioning people's brains . Many verse in Quran starts or ends with the sentence "For people thinking and questioning" . So islam want muslims to question about what is going on .
