The Quran tells Muslims how to behave and act with non Muslims.
Live peacefully, with respect, with no compulsion of Islam unto them, kindness.
If they attempt to attack you, harm you, kill you, expel you. Then you have the right to attack back, kill them, and expel them from where they've expelled you. A truce is MOST preferable. A truce without ulterior motives and hidden planning to attack again.
The most preferable solutions is dialogue through communication.
Quran 2:190
"Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors."
If nobody took up arms and battles against Muslims than communication without violence is the only path.
Atheism- relativity, act in self defense or turn the other cheek( illogical )
Christianity( turn the other cheek)
Islam ( act in self defense is a must)
Atheism is illogical because of the relativity between self defnse and turning the other cheek because that is criminal. Suffering just to avoid violence is criminal and that's makes Christianity illogical as well among numerous other reasons.
Islam stands strongest because it says you have to do something against those who are attacking but do not attack first. Only act in self defense.

"Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not."
Such a beautiful verse wow. Allah knows we don't like fighting but it is is necessary in the fact of tyrants and those who are violent and aggressors. Allah is All-Knowing
