I'm not being facetious. It's just a symbol, a shape and nothing more. If choose to get "8 8" tattooed on me, it could be mean that I'm a neo-nazi. It could also be my child's birth date, or have any other significance to me. The numbers themselves have no significance except that which we read into them.
The swastika has existed in one form or another for 3000 years and we can't use it any more because of some fuckers that adopted for a couple of decades? Fuck that. Take the symbol back and deprive it of the facist overtones. Display it where ever you want and make it mean whatever you want, or better yet, have it mean nothing at all. Shit, use it to signify Jewish homosexual pride - that'd piss off the neo-nazi pricks. Remove it's power to offend and it becomes just another pattern. If you keep it taboo, it will always have that power.
Yeah, I say fuck it, let people be naked if they want. Why the fuck not? It seems to me that societies which have the strictest rules on how much skin you can reveal also have the highest rates of sex crimes. I could be wrong about that but it's certainly the impression I get. What will it matter if someone wears a skimpy outfit if you see people completely naked everywhere you go? I reckon it could be step towards reducing sexual objectification (is that a word? Fuck it, it is now).
