The presence of atoms was an abstract idea and it has been proposed firstly by Hindus , not Greeks . Greek travallers were collecting this informations from different peoples of distant lands.
Quran talks about atom as "zerre" or "zurra" , I'm not sure . Some verses in Quran talks about more small pieces of "zerre" , so protons-neutrons-electrons-quarks-god particle etc ...
