Did any of you seen anything like this before?
She basically believed something and if anything conflicts with it no matter how convincing and how much evidence backs it up she will reject it as a lie.
Also the biggest reason she believed the bible were "small signs" from god. She had small events happening in her life and she somehow connected those events to the christianity. What is that all about?
Control.
To be able to follow whatever fantasy she wants to indulge in gives her control of her perception of the world and what it is, or at least stability. It's a fantasy nonetheless but it probably comforts her.
It's like tribe mentality as-well; don't trust what the outsiders say and you'll stay part of the tribe. If you challenge the tribes view openly, whatever inner doubts you have, you'll probably be excluded.
