Not at all. Exactly the reason I don't look to the bible for guidance. Superstitious goat herders in the middle east didn't know some mystical truth about my life any more than I do, so I'll keep their version of life's principles out of my life and try not to kill anyone in the process.

Are you referring to Adam and Eve? Do you believe that was a literal account? And should the whole of humanity be punished for the action of what one person did (not to mention God knew it was going to happen?)
Every single invention and development in the world has been due to the principle of doubt and curiosity. We grow on our own, but not because someone was nice enough to let us grow on our own. Especially someone who apparently lets us grow, but demands we acknowledge him and his almighty power without any evidence.
