I don't think the prophesy about Israel becoming a nation again sets any sort of timeline. Eventually, if a group of people want it enough, they can make a new nation and call it whatever they want. If the bible gave an exact year, and it happened in that year, I'd consider it a fulfilled prophesy. Not giving it a timeline means it could take place in the year 5000, and still be considered a fulfilled prophesy.
That's on the same level as "There will be wars, and rumors of wars". Well of course there will be. How about make some specifics? Who will go to war? When will the go to war? How do we avoid the war? Should we partake directly in the war?
