Let's try it this way. When an Israeli soldier shoots a Palestinian teenager the teenager is always described as a "militant" or a "rock-thrower" and the soldier was following standard orders. A defense which did not work for the Nazis at Nuremberg, btw, but the irony is lost on the Israelis.
