Yes I see many sick skinny mal-nourished people, who have no access to supply's like food and medicine, it was the middle of a war. They were in a work camp. I don't see any poison gas victims, nor giant ash piles. They most died of typhus other diseases and no food/clean water. This was all the end of the war, Germany was in ruins.

What happens if your local Target and Trader Joes stops getting food?
What happens if all roads to your city are destroyed along with all trains and airports? What happens when all your medicine stops reaching your town?
How do supply's reach your town? They don't, people starve, people get sick, and they die.
