Why is your god so bloodthirsty that he demands a blood sacrifice as atonement? Is he powerless to make it otherwise?
Bloodthirsty? I don't know the mind of God, but when Adam sinned, and we also sin, the penalty of that sin is death. Before Adam sinned he wasn't subject to death. An offense against God is more serious than a sin against a person. That's why Jesus' sacrifice was so significant. He made the ultimate sacrifice for everyone who has or will live. He didn't have to. It was his choice.
