So? What is so great about American presidents? you have just had two shit ones- Obama and Bush
Do you think this website and the free excahnge of ideas would work or even be allowed in central china? what about North Korea?
We have this thing over here called the bill of rights, that would be frowned upon in a soceity that makes everyone a 'cog' (to brow a phrase) We need cogs, and we need thinkers. If we train our children with the flexiablity to be either then we will ensure that the way of life our forefathers fought and died to establish will be a continuing legacy.
If not and all cogs are continually frowned upon, then ironically we will all eventually be assimilated into a huge cog driven soceity... It's comming, the only question is will we equip the comming generations to have a chance to stand against it or will we hand our soceity over to them when they are ready to take it?

I personally have never found it necessary to strike my child in the 12 years he's been alive.
Your right unfortunatly abusers tend to fly that flag, but so what. That is no different than hearing someone say all black men are lazy or criminals. It is one thing to hear something like that, than it is to change your life to deal with 'all black' men in that way.
The key is not to be fooled into prejudice by what the worst of the worst may say or do, but to honor and be faithful to the spirit of what is right, then no matter what happens you can rest in the assureance that you did what you needed to do.
