In my case, it was when I was too young to understand it (4 or 5 years old). That's just the time I remember. My biological father might have raped me repeatedly, I don't know because I conveniently blocked out 95% of the bad memories associated with him. It seems likely that I was sexually abused, because I was afraid of being touched by ANYONE for years.
I blocked it out, too, until it happened again as a young adult.
