Fellow feminists can we square something for a second? I'm not brainwashed by patriarchy because I think periods are gross. Newsflash people all blood is freaking gross. Especially when it's mucus-y and coming from my lady bits once a month for 2-3 day and it smells awful. I understand the process and purpose fully. I'm not ashamed of it. But I am disgusted. And I have every right to be. So what if it's natural. Poop and pee are natural and they are still gross. It seems to me that third wave feminism has good ideas and building blocks. But it can't see the forest for the trees. WoC, disabled women, queer women, issues of biological women's health, all need work. But which issues come first is splintering us. And still self serrated. I'm babbling...

It's actually very little blood in very much mucus. Might be why it's gross
I'm voting for this for thread of the month. If we don't have that award here, we should start it now.

Stop.
You're making me hungry. Is the third wave some kind of hair-do?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
I don't mind period blood to be honest. Mine are just very painful. Otherwise, no big.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh Brewer is into that stuff.
Believe it or not this may be the only thing I'm not into, lol. And yeah..... I am not ashamed of being a guy and yet I don't use my mayo as actual mayo. I would never put it on my fish and chips. Good post BQ. Doesn't make you ashamed to be a woman to find ALL blood gross. |
