I agree. However, the states can be a little crazy about grabbing up child support money. From what I've heard, they get money from the feds based on how much money they collect in child support, and since they want every penny they can get from the feds, they're going to take every penny they can conceivably get in child support.
I also suppose it's only fair to mention, I have NEVER heard feminism say anything about this issue. I'm not going to say feminism is automatically hostile to men, but it's going to be difficult to convince me that it really stands for equality while issues that predominantly effect men are ignored.

It started with Janice Raymond and her book The Transsexual Empire. She argues that our gender is entirely a social construct, created entirely by social conditioning from childhood. Since trans women, like myself, were raised to be male, our gender is still male. Furtherore, she claims we transiton so we can further possess women: so we can possess their bodies.
Since then, a lot of angry feminists have taken her word as truth in spite of the fact that scientific data strongly disagrees with them. Me, I think it's telling that so many transsexuals think her treatment of transwomen is wrong, but have no problem with the same hostility thrown at men.
Well I suppose that's what you get when your dealing in conspiracy theories like patriarchy.
