CHISTIANS PLEASE EXPLAIN

God sends forth two bears to kill forty-two children for making fun of Elisha’s bald head (2 Kings 2:23-24). Why would the omnibenevolent God feel the necessity to have two bears viciously maul little children for acting like…children? This is supposed to be the same “wonderful” and “loving” God who promises us eternal life. HMMM.

Sorry, but who told you that the Lord was "omnibenevolent"? That word aint found nowhere in the Bible, never mind the Old Testament. This is a descriptor used by sissy, namby-pamby new age so-called Christians who seem to think that John 3:16 is the only verse in the whole book. Why do you think we'd need to be "God fearing" if the Lord wasn't a bloodthirsty, tantrum-throwing megalomaniac? ...uh, with all due respect to You, oh Lord, glory be to Your Name and thank you for not flinging me into pit of eternal torture but rather getting your kicks tormenting unsaved heathen trash.

As for "loving", well, it all depends on your definition of the term. Would you say an abusive, controlling husband who beats the crap out of his wife and then tells her "see what you made me do?" be an example of "love" to you? If so, our Lord truly loves us. That's why we have to love Him back because if we don't, he'll kill and torture us just like he did those 42 little brats. And we tread lightly around His sensibilities and make sure we always praise Him unconditionally. And we always remember that those our Lord does torture for all eternity, well, they must deserve it just as surely as the battered wife brought on hubby's little temper tantrum.

You see, when we talk about the Lord's message of salvation with the full knowledge that it means that the vast majority of people are unsaved trash who serve no purpose but to satisfy His sadistic glee on Judgement Day, the incident with the 42 kids and the bears seems like something to be expected, no?

Imagine this is your son who made the childish error of making fun of a person.

As an aside, I wonder how that all happened.

You know, if two bears jumped out of the woods and started attacking 42 kids, you'd think the 40 that weren't immediately attacks would scatter in all directions, thus insuring that the vast majority of heathen brats would survive. And yet the two bears managed to get the job done.

Now that WAS a miracle.
