Surely it must at least cross you mind that you might be having a schizophrenic attack?
Assuming this possibility does occur - what would you do next?
Suppose the demand was worse than merely murdering an individual. Suppose, just for example, God asked you to fly a plane into a building?
Would being asked that raise some questions as to your own sanity?
People murder people everyday because another human told them to do it. So why wouldn't people murder others if a deity told them to do it? People love to kill people and will use any excuse to do it.
