The second time I heard children's music. But not cheerful happy children's music, oh-no, creepy off-key and slow children's music, like they would play in any horror film to creep you the hell out. The demonic children's laughter that accompanied the tune didn't help.

The old hag is very common.

I have always wanted to create a film whereby a boy starts seeing this hag when he is young. She gets closer every year until she is by his bed when he gets to around 30...

The rest writes itself.
