Whoa, faith gives you the potential to be a good person? But again, good is defined by God, so actually your faith also gives you the potential to be a very bad person (if you pick and choose the wrong verses to follow, the wrong interpretation, have the wrong God, etc... of course, you obviously don't ).
Why complicate things with this "faith gives me the potential..." nonsense? Why not direct your thinking mind to actual justification for being good rather than being good because of faith in X? Here's a justification: I like being good to people because I like when they are good to me. Whoa! That was difficult!
