I feel guilty all the time. Though not always for religious reasons.
Guilt is so far my favorite emotion. Its my drive towards the path of righteousness, and has saved me from myself on various occasions.
I often feel guilt before I even do the said thing that might evoke guilt, so I don't have to feel it later. Though I guess I'm just thinking too much about things. God, its so hard, living.
I kinda wish a life of a soldier, for doing something just because you're ordered to evokes no guilt in me. When I'm ordered to do something I might not agree with, and do it anyways, no guilt is upon me, as the responsibility lies with someone else.
But taking initiative, that's the hard thing. That is the source of guilt. Responsibility. The guiltless people are often those with no real responsibilities.
So meh.
