You have the same attitude that the people who picket funerals have. An attitude of hate.

How are you any different than they? In the same way they are disrespectful you are disrespectful. You return evil for evil, cursing for cursing, hate for hate. But hate begets hate and violence begets violence.

Oh, I can supply a few differences. For one, those who picket funerals have earned contempt through their actions, whereas their victims have not. The two examples aren't really comparable, given that the picketers are causing pain to innocent families, which is what prompts our dislike; you can hardly claim they don't deserve it.

What will mocking someone's beliefs accomplish but make you look like a mocker? What will cursing and bitter words get you? What credit is it to you if you act as the very one's you condemn.

Cheap equivocation aside, what will it accomplish? Well, it might make those we mock rethink their beliefs. If someone had a sincere belief that was causing harm to themselves or others, are you saying that belief should be preserved above and beyond the people they're harming?
