Discipulus laid his cards on the table. It came down to:
1) Jesus gave me the self-confidence I lacked.
2) Atheism makes life appear too scary so I'd rather pick a religion out of the hat.
3) The Gospels are historical biographies.
I'd say that image is all Christianity really amounts to: an image. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I know appeal to emotion is all they really have.
I was just trying to be cordial with a little sugarcoating.
