I thought this thread would be about little girls with scrotums... and I clicked on it anyway.
I grew up with sub debs and debutante balls. I didn't go through it myself, but I do remember at one of my friends' balls, her father presented her with a purity ring, down on one knee. I remember thinking it was weird at the time, but now I find it downright creepy.
