This is in fact why alcoholics can drink so much without gaining weight. I'd certainly suggest you speak to your doctor if I were you, or at the very least start increasing calories from food.
I am an anomaly in my family. I have a hard time putting on weight. My boobs are so small, there's not really a viable bra size for them. Beer makes up a very good majority of my caloric intake.
