fb Wrote:Not true. Could have been made more like the film Charleston Heston played in then it would have been more like the Bible. There was no rock men that helped build the Ark. Noah built it. And the Director doesn't even believe in God so why would he care. It was made more about evolution than anything. And Noah would never have thought about killing his family & making God mad.

Oh the passage is too short? Then dont make a movie out of it... dont distort gods word Revelations 22:18 fat meat is still greasy whether you believe it or not
In the film, Noah isn't trying to make God mad, he's trying to do as God wishes. God made clear to Noah that the human race was wicked and needed to be killed/cleansed, so is it really that much of a stretch for Noah to think this might also apply to his own family? Noah originally wasn't going to kill anyone, everyone was going to die of old age. But then his daughter got pregnant. Like I mentioned before, casting prophets in a confused and suffering light is nothing new. God's prophets struggled with their tasks all the time in the Bible. I don't think introducing this variable in the Noah story lessens it. In fact, I think it makes it more powerful and intense.
After I saw the movie, it was raining outside. My immediate thought was "What if this were to happen to humanity tomorrow?"
At least, praise God, I won't have to pay for misleading ppl about Noah and the "true events" that occurred in the Bible days...it's not a "story" about Noah...the words of the Bible are true and by God and God's ppl who wrote those words. I pray for you.

Worst movie ever, angels turned to rock people? a stow-away on the Ark? Noah killing his grandchildren? I know not all book (Bible) to movies are exact, but really? Someone thought these "plot" twists worked here?'
It was bizarre and even blasphemous.
I'm pretty sure the only way not to take artistic license with a story in The Bible is if a movie was directed by God himself, which is obviously not possible, so c'mon now.
Like Ken Ham said, they got the names right! Not the characters... Noah in the Bible is a God-Fearing Righteous man, where as the Noah in this movie is a man who wants to destroy all of humankind and murder babies. But in all seriousness, this movie, again like Ken Ham said, "is not just un-biblical, it's anti-biblical."
Seriously, your Christians are getting stupid. IT IS A MOVIE! I'm pagan, did you see us cry about how inaccurate MArvel's Thor is? Or how inaccurate Clash of the Gods is? NO! Because they. Are. Movies. If you want something accurate then go to your church and as to borrow the 15 minute childrens' animation.
This is getting weirder and weirder. Did Noah really want to kill his daughter in the movie? I mean, repopulating earth and all..
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
